I teach Spanish to people of all ages (children, young people, adults), levels (from beginners to proficiency) or with specific needs (DELE exam preparation up to C2, Spanish for professionals or language assistance in work and social integration).

TEACHING METHOD

Often teachers and students are faced with the dilemma: grammar YES or NOT. Sometimes the grammar is taught systematically and isolated, but it is also possible to acquire it “diluted” in the communicative process. It seems to me that the most reasonable option is to use properly both strategies according to the learning profile and the specific circumstances and requirements of each student. In fact, nobody speaks a language by knowing grammar and doing exercises. Grammar needs to be teached with emotion otherwise its knowledge is bland, unproductive for communication.

As experienced teacher over the years, I have developed my own methodology. In addition to including all kinds of language-traditional ingredients (grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and practice communication skills -understanding, speaking, reading and writing-) in the right mesure for each student, I bring to class a large selecction of motivating learning activities like short stories, role-plays, suggestive images, comic pieces, journalist reports, interviews, games, songs, videos…

However, the “distinctive touch” that defines my classes is the conversation between friends. I awake in you the desire to communicate and working on your own productions, I help you to progress and to improve your expression. That is, we build the class together.

 

COURSES/ PRICES

To determine the level, contents and teaching style that suit you best, we sit for a nice coffee or drink and have a talk about your interests and learning priorities. Futhermore, I  give you  an optional level test to fill out. All this free of charge and without engagement. It is always paid at the start of a hired sessions pack or course.

On your request we may arrange the hiring of accommodation: hotels, hostels, appartaments and bedrooms in shared flats with native speakers.

Enrollment fees are not applied and the price of lessons includes all necessary materials. You are welcome to a free trial session of our courses!!!

Private lessons: 20 euros/hour. If you buy “packs” of 10 or 20 hours you get discounts!!!. If you are two people (required that both have a similar level) the second receives a discount of 50 % per pack hired together. Also small groups (min. 4 people) have “happy-price” discounts.

– Your Spanish Teach-Friend in Studio*

You take individual lessons in the Studio. I am 100% engaged in your learning process and like a high fashion designer I “make” tailored classes exclusively for you.

 

– Your Spanish Teach-Friend “in situ” (in the place)*

The first Pack of 100% practice-orientated private lessons completely adapted to your needs. I become your language ‘coach’ in a range of different tasks. For exemple:

– Providing you useful advice about city life (job hunting, accommodation, public transport, tourism, leisure, culture, gastronomy, wellness, health, education…)

– Preparation for work or academic integration (curriculum, making applications, job interviews, presentations, meetings, review and correction academic papers or translations…)

– Assistance in the understanding and writting of documents and giving information about any bureaucratic procedures that  you ask me for.

But even, I do more for you: I go with you where you spend your daily life (shops, companies, professional services, processing offices, centers of education, culture, health…). Experience “IN SITU” what you really need to learn!!!.

 

– Spanish and Vitamina Cultural*

Don´t get bored taking Spanish lessons with grammar and exercises.

If you are a foreigner living in Barcelona. You speak quite well Spanish but still not enough fluent and confident as you would like. However, taking language lessons is no more in your plans.

In this case, VITAMINA CULTURAL is your “alternative” option!!!. The idea is learning in a funny, creative way some useful and interesting “curiosities”. We don´t focused our attention on the language. We produce “communication”.

 

– Happy-Price Spanish Conversation Course

2 hours session per week of very lively and engaging classes focused on the gradually and efficiently development of your communicative skills. The goal is speak fluently.

Be happy every lesson at the price of  50 euros per month! (materials included / max. 6 people).

No fees for enrollment or commitment to stay. Payment at the beginning of each month. In case that a student, before the monthly fee payment, lets know the cancelation of a particular course date, the proportional fee amount discount will be applied. Possibility to make up missed lessons due to official holiday dates or the proportional montly fee amount will be discounted.

 

– Spanish Immersion Week with your Teach-Friend

Your best Gift!. One week of exciting experiences visiting the city, tasting local products, attending shows and also learning Spanish with your “Profe-Amigo”. Enjoy a perfect plan designed exclusively for you and discover the authentic “flair” of Barcelona!

30-35 hours week, from Monday to Friday, for 800 euros all inclusive (private lessons, accompaniment, meals, tickets).

On your request we may arrange the hiring of accommodation. If you are two people (required that both have a similar level) the second receives a 50% discount per course. This course is suitable for all levels. Also adapted for beginners.

 

-“Pica-pica” (tapas) Friday Evening

Friday, at sunset, in TEACH-FRIEND we want to start the weekend in good company. At 6 pm. or 7 pm. every first Friday of the month, we invite you (students, old students and friends) to a “Pica-Pica”.

So we have an enjoyable time meeting new people, making friends and organizing culture and leisure activities together. We serve traditional tapas and typical drinks… You bring something else from your culture or of your choice. Free activity.
